Novi Sad School of Business (NSSB) in cooperation with the Tourist Organization of Vojvodina organizes the International Scientific and Expert Conference “Economic Development and Competitiveness of European Countries: Achievements – Challenges – Opportunities” that will be held in the premises of the NSSB. The conference is organized with the support of the Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research, the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina and the Institute of Agricultural Economics from Belgrade. The conference intends to bring together representatives of the scientific and professional public from European countries who will be able to present their own scientific and research achievements, get acquainted with the achievements of other authors, establish different forms of mutual cooperation and jointly create proposals for measures and recommendations for improving the economic development and competitiveness of European countries. This is an opportunity for scientists, researchers, businessmen, economic policymakers and government officials to exchange experiences so far, to gain new insights on past achievements and discuss future approaches and challenges in the field of economic development and competitiveness of the European countries. The conference will be attended by scientists from Russia, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Turkey, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia.
The goal of organizing the conference is to provide researchers with the opportunity to present current scientific research papers, discuss theoretical and empirical questions on the relationship with the European Union, China’s “Belt and Road” initiative, rural tourism and development, economic growth and competitiveness, economic policy and finance, education and entrepreneurship but also trade, investment and employment in European countries. The purpose of the conference is to create opportunities for participants to attend lectures from renowned universities (University St. Kliment Ohridski in Sofia, Bulgaria; State University in St. Petersburg, Russia; University of Geneva, Switzerland). Participants will be able to follow lectures on the Eurasian Economic Union, the New Silk Road Project and the opportunities it provides for foreign investments, all in the context of improving the economic development and competitiveness of the European countries.

A detailed guide to editing an extended abstraction.
- Official language of conference is English.
- All submitted extended apstracts will be reviewed by the international scientific committee of NSSB-2018 Conference. Book of Abstracts will be published before the conference.
- After the conference authors of the presented abstracts will be invited to select one of the two publication options: National Monograph (M44) or Scientific Journal School of Business (M52). Final papers (in English or Serbian) will be blinde reviewed by the international scientific committee of NSSB-2018 Conference.
- One author can have maximum two papers and maximum number of authors per paper is two.
