Course objective is the acquisition of knowledge in the field of statistical analysis and training students for using different models and methods of applied statistics. Course objective is also the application of theoretical knowledge on statistical models in gathering, processing and analysing of data, developing the ability to logically conclude the obtained results by means of practical application of methods taught in theoretical training. By studying the models and the method of applied statistics, the goal is to create a basis for analysing economic indicators and forecasting their movement in real market conditions.
After mastering the content of this course, students will be able to:
• define and apply statistical concepts and methods of statistical data analysis;
• link theoretical and practical knowledge in data processing;
• select statistical methods and models that will give the best results in specific circumstances;
• interpret the obtained results and propose optimal solutions to the business problem.
